Who are we and where do we meet?
We are a fully outdoor nature-immersion preschool for children 3-5 years old in La Grande, Oregon. We use nature-based curriculum in an emergent way with high quality literature to spark investigations into the natural world. We will investigate nature through, art, science, math, literacy and play. Each day we offer unstructured play as an important time for children to socialize, express ideas, problem solve, explore and connect to nature. Blue Mountain Nature School is a recorded preschool program with the state of Oregon. We meet at Heritage Pond Education Center, at 913 S. Miller Dr. in La Grande, where we have a heated yurt, covered pavilion, storage shed, bathroom, tables, and adequate space for drop-off and pick-up. |
